This was one of Matthews first award winning photos. First show it completed in the top 100 for photographer of the year at the Agora Gallery in New York.
Note from Matthew: This was one of my favorite pictures to take. It took a while to get the right angle and it was freezing out, but it was well worth the crawling around on the beach in the dead of night. Winds were blowing 45 knots of the straight with a wind chill of about -1C out. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did taking it.
