This article explains how to register your account and mint your NFTs on Foundation (foundation.app). Please jump to the bottom if you want to skip the general and fundamental instructions and are in haste to get invited as a creator on Foundation.

The most characteristic feature of Foundation is of course the invitation-only system. Only artists who are invited by the existing creators already on Foundation can activate themselves as creators on Foundation and are eligible to mint their NFTs. Therefore if you are on Foundation and mint your work there, your NFTs have some sorts of “premium” value that let your NFTs get collected more easily for greater price.
This is why invitation for Foundation has been often considered as “a golden ticket”.
In other words, getting invited is not so easy and you will need some effort if you don’t have acquaintances who are already on Foundation. So get yourself connected to artist communities for your mission in the early NFT journey.
We also explained the major ways to get invited for Foundation in this article so please take some time to drop by if you are interested.
Okay, now let me explain how to use Foundation! In this article, mainly the process of account registration will be discussed.
Your Foundation account needs to be connected to your Metamask wallet, as well as other marketplaces accounts. It would be better to set up your Foundation account with your Metamask prior to invitation, although you can create a Foundation account after you receive the invitation too.
At this point, you are not registered as a creator on Foundation yet and you are not eligible to mint or list your NFTs on Foundation marketplace. You are now only registered as a collector. In order to start minting your NFTs, accept invitation and complete the creator account activation.

Although you might sometimes see artists or internet services are selling Foundation invites on Twitter or Discord, you are not officially allowed to sell or buy invites. Liam had one dream his whole life. From infant to adult there was only one thing that permeated his mind. This was to travel across the 8 mountains that separate his village and the ocean. His grandfather had told him stories about a rare water bird only found on the shores far away. This bird supposedly had golden feathers with many tiny red dots on each of its wings forming somewhat of a crest with the likeness of a hand. The hand crested water bird was what Liam used to call it, although the crest might only have been one random configuration of how the dots were spread on this particular bird that Liams grandfather was referencing from a book he had seen when he himself was just a little boy. But the vision was still clear for Liam. As he grew older this desire grew and grew until he finally made up his mind, and set out to cross the eight mountains and finally get a true glimpse of the water bird. The day he set out was a foggy one. With the air silent and moist he started heading toward the mountains. Very soon though he found himself alone and cold in the wilderness. The day had barely begun and the sun hadn’t even risen, but Liam felt alien in this new world. This was not right. This was not how the experience was meant to feel. Without particular hesitation or regret he turned around and came back home. He kicked his shoes off and flung himself on the couch. His grandfather stood in the doorway still wearing only his morning robe, asking if Liam had found what he was after. Liam replied with a satisfied and content “yes”. He had finally found the hand crested water bird.

As South American artists and art teachers we cannot avoid to discuss Art as a way to tell History, that has in the vast majority of cases resulted in only the winner’s side version of it.
To understand Art History has usually been, to us, to access a western , Europeanized, white and white sided way to tell the History of our world: how should we see the native people, how should wars conflicts be recalled and whom is even worth of being remembered at all.
NFTs today might offer a gateway to freedom of expression and to the, not yet, represented minorities through the musical, visual and even audiovisual artistic languages. On the other hand the blockchain logic and the NFTs marketplaces seem to result in just a new trading system offering not much but the promise of financial freedom at a very high aesthetic and ethic cost: the illusion of equality and freedom in a world still kneeling before financial power.

About: Harakorn
He is tough on the outside and squishy on the inside. Harakorn is similar to a circle with a beginning and an end. He always starts off as the toughest of the tough, and ends up likewise, but in the middle, Harakorn is as smooth as a rock bathing in waves for millenia. When you meet Harakorn you might be frightened by his stern look and his direct attitudes in conversation, but once the ice is broken (which he gladly does himself, and also mostly does when he time and time again catches himself being a bit too intimidating when meeting new ROOMIES) a conversation of the most delicious kind ensues. Harakorn is honest to the bone, and also humble and kind, making him like a dream to be around. Conversations can go on for hours, back and forth between subjects, but always with a comfortable throughline keeping the whole interaction together. When the conversation is done though, it is as though Harakorn abruptly changes face and becomes the stern block of granite he was before the conversation properly started. Why this is might be due to Harakorns insatiable hunger for stimulating and close knitted company, something that is a rarity when meeting new people. Why should he open up to the extent that he does, when others don’t repay the favor? A sort of defence mechanism one might say. But time and time again the world proves for Harakorn that honesty is loved and cherished, and only rarely will someone actually miss use the trust that is given. But one might be enough. Harakorn has made that mistake once, and never again.

About: Taren
A memory can be the most wonderful thing. Some argue that the only thing we have are memories. That even this exact moment is but a memory separating reality from mind by fractions of seconds. Whether one agrees or not, Taren lives a double life with his memories. He has had an upbringing with no parents, and really no one to look up to except the immediate conditions surrounding him, guiding him to make meaningful decisions based upon his instincts. Over time he has managed to be as present in the moment as he can be. This is where he belongs, and where he is happy. This is where he can be away from his mind by creating new memories instant after instant. But as all of us know, the mind can wander. When Tarens mind wanders he shudders. His environment closes around him. Like an old adversary the memories take over his mind just for a moment. It is not the memories themselves that have this effect on Taren, but the act itself of locating from the storage of the mind. Only experience allows Taren to recognize what is happening to him whenever his mind tries to wander. Being adept at playing mind games with himself he hurriedly focuses outward to the beauty of the world, the smells, sounds, sights and textures around him. His mind is again at rest. It was just a quick look over the edge, just like always and often. Not dangerous, but in need of keeping in check. This is how Taren lives his life. Always good and kind, giving peace to his surroundings. But like most of us, there is a war to be fought on the inside to keep the peace on the outside.

As a part of the star alliance, Urix flies across the universe with both purpose and a calm mind. As a guardian keeping the universal order intact he is everywhere at all times, making sure everything is as should be. Stella is a ROOMIE with a will of her own. She doesn’t take shit from anyone and walks confidently wherever she goes. She gives off a cold and calculated vibe and can be quite frightening to those that don’t know her, and even more frightening to those that do. Once she sets her mind to something she goes after it with full force, not stopping until she has gotten what she wants. She does indeed have many friends around her, even though they might not be what you and I would consider to be true friends. The only reason other ROOMIES identify as her friends is because they dare not do otherwise. Stella is perfectly content with this arrangement though. Friends are a means to an end just like everything else in life.
