Hellcat – Day 11

Day 11 is the 11th digital collage in my “84 Days” summer art series. From July 1 – September 22, I’ll be minting a 1/1 NFT every day for the rest of the summer, culminating in an 84-piece collection.

During this project I will explore themes of introspection, aspiration, discovery, and redemption. The main purpose of the series is an exercise to work through my creative paralysis.

Everyday after minting the NFT of the day, I will write a journal entry about the digital collage, it’s themes and inspiration, and updates on my journey as an emerging NFT artist that can be read at hellcatnft.medium.com.

We can mint the change we want to see. That being said, I hope my project inspires you to overcome any challenges in your life that may be plaguing you.

An Ordinary Man – An Ordinary Man

Back in 2016, I decided to start my own online sketchbook on Instagram. An_ordinary_man is a personal, ongoing project. Α series of autonomous illustrations and quotes, united under a creative, sarcastic tone.

I chose this name to mock the “average” person which is a nonphysical product of statistics. Of course, Everyone is special, and even if he looks “average” and “ordinary” he is not. So the title is sarcastic.

Τhrough my works I comment on everyday events. Things that we all pretty much do or think. People tend to relate to the content because it reminds them that some experiences, fears, and expectations are collective.

TheCre3p – Transcend Through Art

Transcending is about contemplating the universe and understanding that what you see out there reflects who you are. Transcending is also looking within yourself and recognizing that the universe is present there. The memories of our lives, our works and our actions will continue through art…art itself is a way of transcending.

Titipun Tubthong – THAIGHOST30 – MAE-NAK

The story is about a beautiful young woman named Mae Nak, who lived on the banks of the Phra Khanong Canal, and her undying love for her husband, Mak.

With Mae Nak pregnant, Mak is conscripted and sent to war (in some versions of the story the war is against the Shan tribe, while others are not specific), where he is seriously wounded. While he is being nursed back to health in central Bangkok, Mae Nak and their child both die during a difficult childbirth. When Mak returns home, however, he finds his loving wife and child waiting for him. Neighbors who try to warn him that he is living with a ghost are all killed.

One day, as Mae Nak is preparing nam phrik, she drops a lime off the porch. In her haste to retrieve it, she stretches her arm to pick it up from the ground below. Mak sees it and at last realizes his wife is a ghost. Terrified, he tries to find a way to flee without alarming her.

That night, Mak says he has to go downstairs to urinate. He then runs away into the night.
