Alessandro Pongan – EX VOTO

The artistic project I am developing is called TOTEM and is expressed in a territory between the digital environment and the physical state. My works are born in a digital environment but often become sculptures, installations, video projections, public art.
EX VOTO are a series of works that echo the votive figures that the faithful used to offer as a gift of thanks for the grace received in the baroque churches.

Born out of war the Peace Kid was a necessity to counteract one of our worst impulses. Namely to harm one another. Peace Kid became, and brings a veil of daze and drowsiness to the fevered temperaments of disagreement. The Kid walks among us always and tugs at our hand keeping us grounded and firmly placed on the earth. A feeling of perspective and priority takes hold in us whenever Peace Kid is with us, and helps us understand more of what is really going on. The Kid does not want anything, and is driven only by our moral failures and inabilities to act ethically. Does the Peace Kid have friends? A tricky question indeed. For who wants someone that is always there when you are at your worst, and never at your best? Some questions might be best unanswered because words might limit what the Peace Kid really is. The Peace Kid is the Peace Kid. You can feel it, and so can I.

King Kyat – Ethereum Laser Eyes (“Ellie”)

Decentralization of philately. Convergence with cryptoart.

This single-edition digital artwork is based on an actual, physical U.S. Postage 3-cent stamp from 1870, bearing the image of George Washington, that I hold in my physical stamp collection.

This digital artwork began as a tree that was cut down and made into paper. The paper then became a postage stamp that was printed in 1870. That stamp was mailed somewhere in the world and disappeared for decades into a stamp collection. This NFT was minted 151 years later in 2021.

Nathan Brothers – Medicine Skulls

“Medicine Skulls” launch date is 3.1.22. The project offers 1000 original NFTs that were based on 71 sculptures created by Phillip E. Brothers from 1991 – 2021. Rarity traits are defined by the symbols that were painted on the physical skulls. This project offers unique utility that connects the physical collection with the NFT collection and we are developing a secondary art marketplace to sell the tangible pieces on our site. Sogand Nobahar – My Stretch Marks

Struggling with body love and self-image is one of the main issues of today’s world and I, like many others, stuck in the loop of body-shame for a long time after that I gain weight. I know our body is part of who we are and allow us to do so many things and take us so many places. But at the same time, we live in a society constantly pushing for change – get longer, leaner legs! Slimmer, toned arms! Flatter stomach! … These messages are everywhere, and can make it quite difficult to love what you already have. After years of trying, finally I overcame this issue and photography was a huge help for me. I started shooting different part of my body again and again until I started to fall in love with it. So be persistent for as long as it takes to overcome your fears and shames.

collection description: Some folks, too green to retain residual remembrances, keep calling it anarchy. Other, too yellowed by that masticated “me” metonymy called memory, keep smirking while chalking it up to puerility. I think it’s acrimonious, hormonal and spontaneous, it’s borderline metrical in its invisible hand partiality and might turn out to be a Web 3.0 comorbidity. A “digimodernist” bestiary rooted in “repetitions”/“differentiations” – damn! already too many nauseating conceptual fixations poised to spawn negative commercial implications for the praxis of some what-you-see-is-not-what-they-said collections that I’m trying to share with like-minded Ξ bullish avatarial standardizations riding a blockchain high-rising to stomp on pixelated daytimes and inflationary ablations – this is what quite a few philatelically powered parametric potpourris are all about. They curate hardcore passe-partouts and try to snuff out crypto-doubt. They punk. Now it’s your turn to shout!
